Sorong regency in West Papua province of Indonesia has got a new site for birding visitors. Its name is Klalik located around 2 hour ride from Sorong city.

A lot of species of tropical birds can be seen in the forest of the village including Palm Cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Eclectus Parrot (Eclectus roratus), Red-cheeked Parrot, Double-eyed Fig Parrot, Large Fig Parrot, Black Lory, Black-capped Lory, Wompoo Fruit Dove, Pink-spotted Fruit Dove, Orange-breasted Fruit Dove, Yellow-billed Kingfisher, Common Paradise Kingfisher, Red-breasted Paradise Kingfisher, and a lot more. Birds of Paradise that can also be seen there include Lesser Birds of Paradise, Magnificent Riflebird, King Bird of Paradise, Twelve-wired Bird of Paradise, Glossy Manucode. Hooded Pitta and Red-bellied Pitta live in the forest too.

- Take a domestic flight to Sorong city. Airlines such as Garuda, Batik Air, Lion Air, Sriwijaya, offer regular flight service to Sorong city from major cities in Indonesia.
